Gabriela Lopez Rosas

Maintenance Document Coordinator

Originally from Mexico City, Mexico, Gabby is the youngest of 10 children.  When she was in high school, Gabby got a job working in the records department of a small DC9 carrier where she worked for 6 years.  It was there that her love of Aviation was born and grew.  While working there Gabby worked her way up and became the head of the records department.  She also had the opportunity to interact with many aircraft leasing companies.  From those interactions a wonderful opportunity to work and live in the U.S. arose.  At 25 with only $10 in her pocket and a small suitcase Gabby traveled to Phoenix, Arizona and began her new career.

Gabby’s work took her all over the world.  For over 10 years Gabby traveled over 300 days a year inspecting the logbooks of aircraft.  One of her favorite memories was working in Iceland during December.  It was the coldest cold she has ever felt, but while there Gabby got to go on a night tour of a blue lagoon.  While floating in the geothermal seawaters and gazing up at the stars, the steam from the waters made her feel like she was floating in the sky with the clouds and stars passing her by.

During another trip she met the man who would become her husband and it was having her two daughters that changed her adventures from world travel to motherhood.  Gabby’s family moved from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Lexington, Kentucky in 2013.  They were welcomed by awesome neighbors who have made them feel that Kentucky is now their home.

Gabby loves spending time with her husband, two girls and their dog at home.  She and her daughters love to go to movies and on small field trips to explore the outdoors.  Gabby loves read and to learn about different cultures, both past and present.  Online research is both a passion and a gift of hers.

When Gabby started missing working around aircraft, she reached out to AirMart and a new position of Records Coordinator was created to take advantage of her amazing background and skills.  Gabby says the best thing about working at AirMart is that it feels like being in a second family.  The feeling of belonging, especially in the aviation world, is the best.

Gabby attended two years of college at Everglades University in Boca Raton for a degree in Aviation Technology and has received a certification from both Airbus and Boeing’s Maintenance Program Planning.

Gabby’s favorite part about flying is the feeling you get in your stomach when the airplane takes off, every take off is amazing.

Annie Gunning

Contracts & Closings / Travel Coordinator

Annie’s love of aviation began as a child when she would fly commercially by herself to visit her grandparents each summer. She remembers the excitement of travelling alone and the kind generosity of the crew who took care of her along the way. One of her favorite experiences was visiting the flight deck of a 747 with all its lights and controls. Annie’s favorite part about working with AirMart is helping customers simplify transactions. She says she knows she’s done something right when a closing customer smiles and says, “You made that look easy.” Annie believes that nothing is better watching a smiling customer fly away in their new plane. In her free time, Annie loves to garden and visit new places, especially if those new places have beaches. She is a movie buff, Nintendo geek, and has been known to dominate in karaoke.

Baron Sutherlin, Dog

The AirMart office did not know it was missing this team member until Baron walked through the door in September 2014.  A natural leader- most find Baron's nap aerobics to be somewhat of an inspiration.  His ability to sleep anywhere is unrivaled.  His calm demeanor under pressure makes him a steady hand and an essential team member.

You can find Baron at the office most business days.  Beware of dog:  he may invite you for a nap.

Carly joined the AirMart team when it became apparent that Baron needed a companion.  Originally from a rescue, Carly has adjusted well to life with her forever family.  Although she is the sweetheart you can depend on, please know that she likes to announce when we have visitors. Rest assured her bark is louder than her lick (she is definitely a smoocher!).
